T3-G9 or G9 for short is a T3 Utility Droid modified with modern R2 Series modifications such as improved processing power and navigation capabilities. Other modifications include a twin light blaster cannon hidden in the central compartment, a miltary plus grade scanner, deflector shields, and an array more useful items just within the panel. The droid is now fully capable to handle astronavigation as well as any R2 unit, if not better, due to its twenty hyperspace jump memory.
